Joshua Insley, Esquire
Mr. Insley has practiced law since 2002. Prior to his bar admission, Mr. Insley graduated from the University of Las Vegas in 1999 and the William S. Boyd School of Law at the University of Nevada in 2002. Subsequently, Mr. Insley moved back to Maryland and clerked for the Honorable Raymond E. Beck, Sr. in the Circuit Court for Carroll County from 2003 to 2004. After completing his clerkship, Mr. Insley began working for the Office of the Public Defender for Baltimore City in 2004 and completed eight successful years as a trial attorney handling felonies, including, but not limited to murders, and white collar crime.
Since leaving the Office of the Public Defender, Mr. Insley has handled numerous civil matters from automobile accidents to personal injury matters, to civil rights violations. Mr. Insley had represented clients in thousands of cases and litigated hundreds of trials. Mr. Insley consistently achieves positive outcomes for his clients. His trial skills and adeptness with client interactions helps Mr. Insley to create a relationship with clients that allows them to feel at ease and trust in the legal advice Mr. Insley provides.
Mr. Insley holds bar admissions in the State of Maryland since 2002 and the United States District Court since 2012.
Jason Ott, Esquire
Mr. Ott has practiced law in Maryland since December 2003. Prior to his bar admission, Mr. Ott graduated from Towson University in 2000 and the University of Baltimore Law School in 2003.
After passing the bar, Mr. Ott began his legal career at the Office of the Public Defender for Baltimore City where he handled thousands of cases, including many high-profile clients. Since leaving the Office of the Public Defender, Mr. Ott has run a successful law firm, Ottlaw, LLC. Ottlaw, LLC has allowed Mr. Ott to not only continue to represent clients in criminal matters but also in civil matters as well.
Mr. Ott continues to achieve positive outcomes for his clients in automobile accidents as well as personal injury matters. He consistently provides legal representation that makes clients feel at ease and gains a level of trust with clients that fosters an open dialogue with clients to ensure that their case is handled, efficiently, expeditiously, and successfully.

Chelsea Hesekiel, Paralegal
Ms. Hesekiel has worked for Mr. Ott and Mr. Insley since 2014. She came to the law firm with eight years of experience in the legal field with a focus on civil law. Ms. Hesekiel graduated from Stevenson University in 2011 with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business with a Paralegal Studies concentration.
Ms. Hesekiel manages the firm’s pre-litigation department which handles automobile accidents, slip and falls, police brutality, and general personal injury matters. Ms. Hesekiel’s experience in these matters allows her to handle every client’s case with a great deal of attention, especially when it comes to settlement negotiations, setting up medical care appointments, gathering medical records and bills and requesting pertinent documentation.

Jeremy B. Brooks, Law Clerk
Mr. Brooks is currently a rising 2L at the University of Baltimore Law School. Prior to enrolling at the University of Baltimore, Mr. Brooks worked for several criminal defense firms, giving him experience with communicating effectively with clients.
Prior to entering the field of law, Mr. Brooks graduated from the Pennsylvania State University in 2008 with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Philosophy and the Culinary Institute of America in 2011 with an Associate’s Degree in Culinary Arts.
Mr. Brooks is a valuable asset to Maryland Civil Justice. His experience in the hospitality field helps to create a personal and comfortable atmosphere for clients and his ability to perform legal research and draft legal memoranda aides the attorneys at Maryland Civil Justice to focus on litigating your case successfully.
